The short version. Nashira has no accounts and no sign-in. We collect nothing about you: no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no profile. Your birth details, notes and saved people live on your device. They leave it only inside a request for a reading, and the service that answers that request does not store them.

The following is stored on your phone or iPad and is never uploaded to us as a record:
This data is held in the app's own storage, protected by your device's encryption. If you have iCloud backup turned on for your device, Apple's backup may include it, under Apple's terms rather than ours. Deleting the app deletes this data.
To compute a chart or write a reading, the app sends the details that reading needs — for example a birth date, time and coordinates, and any context you typed. That request is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Our service is stateless. It performs the calculation, returns the answer, and retains nothing. We do not keep a copy of your birth details, your notes, or the readings you receive. Our operational logs are configured never to include request contents.
Readings are written by a large language model operated by one of our service providers. The astronomical facts for the reading, plus any context you chose to include, are sent to that provider to produce the text. Our providers act on our instructions and for no purpose of their own: they are contractually barred from using what we send them to train models, retention of the request is switched off, and our service instructs them, on every request, not to keep it.
If you photograph a stone to identify it, that image is sent for identification and is not logged or stored — not by us, and not by the provider that identifies it. It exists only for the duration of the request.
So that only genuine copies of Nashira can use the service, the app uses Apple's App Attest. Your device generates a key specific to this app and this installation; we store its public half and a counter, and a per-day request count against it. That key is not an identity: it is not linked to your name, your Apple Account, your device's identifiers, or anything you entered in the app, and we cannot use it to recognise you anywhere else. It is discarded when you delete the app and re-created if you reinstall.
When you search for a birthplace, the app uses Apple's MapKit to turn what you typed into coordinates and a time zone. Those searches are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. If you ask whether an eclipse will be visible where you are, an approximate location is included in that request and, like everything else, is not retained.
Nashira Plus is sold through Apple. Apple handles the purchase and the billing; we never see or receive your payment details, and we do not receive your name or email address from Apple. The app checks with Apple whether a subscription is active on your device.
Because we hold no records about you, there is no account to access, export, correct or close. The data is on your device and is yours to edit or delete there; deleting the app removes all of it. If you live somewhere that grants you rights over personal data — such as the EEA, the UK, or California — you may still write to privacy@nashira.life and we will answer honestly about what we do and do not hold.
Nashira is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be noted in the app.
